Chinese Elements-Wood

This is a series of symbol/icon project for my Illustration class. Instead of make it boring like symbol in the airport or icon in your default Windows/Mac computer, I combined the idea of Chinese elements and Beijing Opera. There are 5 Chinese elements, there are fire, water, wood, earth, and metal. If you notice, 2008 Beijing Olympic mascot also based on these 5 elements, but they use panda as their main character. So, I thought another Chinese culture that would be applicable yet interesting for these 5 elements. Then I started thought about Lion dance, dragon and finally Beijing Opera. I've been obsessed with this since long ago and really want to do something with it, and finally the opportunity came! Yey.. So this is the fifth Element, Wood. It's different from the other character. This one in Sun WU Kong
